With the fall season complete I’m excited to write and update you on our team!
We played four events this fall and had a very tough schedule. Our schedule is ranked 5th in difficulty by Golfweek this year but we are up for the challenge!
We started out strong with a win in Tennessee and had three other top 10 finishes. We traveled to Tennessee, Orlando, Chicago and California for our fall events. We also had a different line up travel to each event which tells you the depth we have this year! It will be a very competitive spring for our players but the experience is making each of them better.
Our team goals for the off season are to finish the semester strong in the classroom. We will be in the gym three days a week and have a weekly two hour team practice. The NCAA limits the amount of time we can require of our student athletes in the off season, giving them time to catch up on school and enjoy the full college experience.
Signing day began on November 9th. We have signed two players for 2017, Addison Baggarly from Tennessee and Lauren Waidner from Florida. We are very excited to have them join our Gator Family! Of note: Addison’s Father Mark played for Buddy Alexander in the 90’s.
Keep an eye on the winter events as we will have numerous players competing in the Dixie Amateur, Harder Hall and Sally. Janice and I have a busy off season recruiting schedule planned to find future Gators!
Our spring practice season will begin in early January and our first event of the spring is the Florida Challenge in Lecanto, Florida. We hope to see many of you there!
Happy Holiday’s to everyone and thanks for your continued support.
